PlantCruise is a modern, advanced, and reliable Honeywell distributed control system (DCS) specifically designed for small and medium enterprises. It helps maximize users’ production uptime, improves safety, reliability, and efficiency, and reduces investments and operating costs. This Honeywell-designed product is engineered, maintained and sold through local system integrators.
What is it ​PlantCruise is specifically designed to meet user needs in mid-tier markets. It leverages technology from the award-winning Experion® Process Knowledge System (PKS), along with the innovative design of Series 8 I/O modules and cabinets, a wide range of validated COTS options, simplified engineering and maintenance capabilities, and integrator-friendly programs and tools. With no single point of failure and a simple user interface, PlantCruise improves the efficiency of operators and engineers. In addition, it reduces batch production cycle times to help plants produce more while also improving product quality. It also ensures excellent scalability and flexibility; users can extend the scope at any time from process control and management to include personnel and assets, and can even integrate the resources of their entire business operations. Currently only available to Chinese users, the product will also be rolled out in other markets.

How Does It Work?
Based on Experion PKS, PlantCruise retains the best of its proven DCS technology such as the C300 controller, Fault Tolerant Ethernet, Profit Loop and other advanced features. The Series 8 I/O modules incorporate the latest circuit design technology and provide support for redundant/non-redundant, HART/non-HART, coated/uncoated and other options. The flexible cabinet design options include high density, low density, mixed cabinet and standalone cabinet. Users can configure different hardware options to support varying system sizes and requirements. In addition, the simplified configuration tools ensure easy engineering and reduce labor and maintenance complexity. The software is optimized and simplified for specific market needs
