RONEVISION- HIGH RESOLUTION FURNACE MOTNITORING

CAMERA SYSTEM

Honeywell’s RNV Series, also known as RoneVision, is an innovative furnace

monitoring camera system with notably simple and compact design. Users can

observe the condition inside a sealed furnace of over 1800??C from a remote location.

The RNV Series is composed of four compartments-- camera, retractor, local panel,

and temperature measuring system. Camera is the part where high-performance

sub-mini camera and block type lenses are located. Block type lenses are specially

designed lenses easy to assemble/disassemble, maintain, and repair. Particularly, front

lens exposed to heat is made with quartz glass and highly resistant to heat. These

lenses are placed in double layered tubes. The outer tube is made of special materials

to protect inner-tube from high temperature.

Retractor is a unique component in the RNV Series for self protection. Air-chuck

lock is a device to control opening and closing the function of retractor. When the

temperature rises beyond certain level, it receives a signal and automatically retracts

the camera from the furnace. The vision tube moves along the rail, which is designed

to endure harsh/extreme conditions such as excessive heat. To prevent any damages

to the equipment, the RNV Series also has a wind-up spring and shock absorber.

Local panel is in charge of the operation of the RNV Series. Electric controller enables

automatic retraction by sending emergency signal to electric lock when power supply

is cut. The control is available automatic, manual, and semi-automatic. To prevent

damages of camera caused by high temperature, air controller enables automatic

retraction by sending emergency signal to electric lock.

Temperature measuring system is optional for the users that require thermal image

monitoring and data processing.

Market Opportunities

The Honeywell RNV Series is designed for general cost effective high resolution.

This special camera system for monitoring industrial furnaces such as cement kilns,

glass melting furnace and steel furnace. The Honeywell RNV Series is air cooled

with detached power outlet for simple and easy installation, maintenance, and

conservation. During emergencies, the camera will extract by itself to protect the

equipment from any damage. Customers can have thermal images and save the

temperature data, view and print them when needed.
